Request for Qualifications for a Billing Agent for the EMS Services under a Fair and Open Process
The Board of Fire Commissioners for Fire District 3, Twp of Voorhees, and County of Camden seeks qualifications of a company to perform the services of a Billing Agent for the Board of Fire Commissioners for Fire District No. 3 relative to billing for the Voorhees Fire District’s EMS Services. All qualifications submitted should be turned into the Board at it office at 423 Cooper Road Voorhees, NJ by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008 so that the Board can consider them at its workshop meeting on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.
The Board will evaluate all qualifications submitted on the basis of the most advantageous; price and other factors to be considered will be the applicant’s qualifications including:
- If a professional requiring licensure in the State of New Jersey, then for a period of not less than 5 years and in Good Standing;
- At least three years of experience performing services as Billing Agent for EMS Services for NJ public entities;
- Having an established Accounts Receivable Process for private and insurance claims;
- Having an established procedure to submit Medicare Claims;
- Having an office location within a 10 mile radius of Voorhees Twp to ensure timely transmittal of information between the service and the Voorhees Fire District to ensure prompt payment of EMS bills;
- The service shall agree to comply with all rules and regulations under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
- Experience and reputation in the field of work and work for public entities, including documentation of experience of performing similar work.
