THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF FIRE DISTRICT NO.3

IN THE TOWNSHIP OF VOORHEES,

Resolution 05-01-2008

Authorizing the solicitation for qualifications for a EMS Billing Service under a Fair and Open Process

WHEREAS, there exists a need for EMS Billing services to be provided to the Board of Fire Commissioners for Fire District No. 3, and;

WHEREAS, the Board of Fire Commissioners for Fire District No. 3 (“Voorhees Fire District”) are desirous of selecting a EMS billing Service under a Fair and Open Process, and;

WHEREAS, the Local Public Contracts Law, NJSA 40A:11-5 (1) (a) (i) provides that the governing body may award a contract with public advertising for submission of qualification  where the nature of the contract is for  services and where it is anticipated that the contract amount will exceed $17,500 per annum, and;

WHEREAS, Local Public Contracts Law, NJSA 40A:11-5(1)(a)(i), provides that a notice of the award (which set forth in nature, duration, service and amount of the contract and which also states that the resolution and contract are on file and available for public inspection at the Board’s offices) of said contract shall be published in a newspaper authorized by law to publish the Board of Fire Commissioners’ legal advertisements,

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED by the Commissioners of Fire District No. 3, Township of Voorhees, County of Camden, as follows:

  1. The attached notice of a submission of qualifications with specifications shall be published in an official newspaper serving the district at least 10 days prior to June 2, 2008 and also posted on the Board’s website.
  2. All submissions will be received at Voorhees Fire Station No. 3, 423 Cooper Road, Voorhees, NJ 08043. The submissions must be received by June 2, 2008 by 5:00 p.m.
  3. All bids received shall be read in public session at the Board of Fire Commissioners Meeting on June 5, 2008 at 7:00 pm or as soon thereafter as the Board business will permit.
